Yes, I guess it is possible to "over think" things. I have neglected this blog because it was my hope to find something profound to contribute here. Something calculated. Getting out of one's "comfort zone" can spark innovation and simply provide more room for thought, so today, I hope to begin that process.
I've been guilty of "over thinking". Don't get me wrong, I believe that one should spend more time listening than talking. I further believe that before talking, one should really consider their words, tone, and overall delivery before speaking.
The "nest" here in my home is not empty yet, but it should be, at least in the 70's all would have been out on their own by now. Having said that, I get to watch my children "over think" the smallest of details. Thinking about cleaning their rooms, without actually doing it. Thinking about moving out, without actually taking the jump and doing it.
While it may be warranted to contemplate a given situation, making a calculated decision and acting on it will reap more rewards than being stuck "over thinking".
